Horses
The companion for recreation

Horses have been constant companions to mankind for thousands of years. In the beginning of domestication, probably between 3000 and 4000 B.C., horses were kept for meat and milk. Later they were used as pack animals. Even before it was common practice to ride horses, they were employed to draw vehicles, particularly in warfare. Today their role has changed. Horse riding today is mostly for recreational purposes, for leisure and to achieve the owner's sporting ambitions in racing events and show jumping.
