Bees
Bee world
If someone asked you to list the domesticated animals which were most useful for mankind, you probably wouldn’t immediately think of honeybees. Indeed, bees would likely be fairly low on the list, if you even remembered to name them at all. But when you think about it, it becomes clear that this is a big mistake. For one of history’s greatest thinkers, Albert Einstein, summed up the importance of these insects concisely:
“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then Man would only have four years left to live. No bees, no pollination, no plants, no animals, no Man.”
Albert Einstein
Hence, healthy bees are at least as important as healthy cattle, pigs, sheep and poultry. Perhaps even more so, as the life of all domesticated animals that readily spring to mind is directly dependent on a healthy, adequate population of bees.
Because we as humans have to take direct responsibility for maintaining a healthy bee population, just as we bear responsibility in other regards. Our efforts are supported by the latest research, which constantly gives us new insights and opens up new opportunities. The aim of this website is to provide you with the latest buzz on bees, including information on their lifecycle and activities, the disorders that can affect them and treatments to keep them healthy.
