The beehive

One of the main causes of diseases (such as diarrhea) in bees and a weakening of the colony (for instance, excessive cooling) is an unsuitable location for the hive. By observing the entrance to the hive each day, it is possible to verify the state of the colony (population size, flight activity, etc.) without causing a disturbance by opening the hive too often.
