Debris
Debris refers to the parts of the cells that have been gnawed off, dead bees and other particles which fall to the floor.
A piece of white paper laid on the floor of the hive facilitates the assessment of the particles that have fallen down, such as determining the number of varroa mites that have fallen to the floor.
