AQUASEPT

| Target Specificity | |
| Indication/Description | The active ingredient in AQUASEPT is NADCC (Sodium Troclosene), which is formulated as an effervescent tablet and simply added to water to produce effective, reliable and safe chlorine solution strengths. Due to its chemical properties AQUASEPT gives a superior performance and safety profile compared to many other chlorine releasing compounds. There is no need to handle big product volumes for measuring the product. AQUASEPT is very easy to use and is therefore highly suitable for the required day by day biosecurity programs on farms. The product has a slow release function for the active ingredient and therefore provides a slow decrease of concentration per time unit, consequently no overdosing is needed at the beginning of the water supply system. AQUASEPT is recommended for the prevention of disease transmission via the farm drinking water and provides a broad spectrum activity against bacteria, fungi, spores and viruses. |
| CAS No | 2893-78-9 |
| Chemical Name | Sodium Troclosene |
| Formulations | Effervescent Tablets |
| Presentation | AQUASEPT is available in different sizes of effervescent tablets for water volumes ranging from 15 to 1200 litres |
| Method of Administration | The required concentration is 4 – 6 ppm of Sodium Troclosene. Small volume disinfection: Simply add the required number of suitable tablets to a container to achieve the required concentration. After the recommended disinfection time the water is free of microorganism and animals can drink the water. Central water supply with fixed water volume: Simply add the required number of suitable tablets to your water tank/reservoir to achieve the recommended concentration. After the recommended disinfection time the water is free of microorganism and can be brought on line. Central water supply with flowing water: AQUASEPT can be used in conjunction with commonly used Auto dosing systems based on a stock solution of up to 2000 ppm injected into flowing water. 4 tablets of Aquasept 1000 in 10 litre water equals to 2000 ppm. To achieve an in-use target dosage of 5 ppm Sodium Troclosene you simply adjust the injection rate to 1 litre solution in 400 litre water. This will ensure that animal housing areas get a constant supply of safe potable water. Alternatively the residual chlorine at the 'end drinking point' in the pipeline can be measured using Free Chlorine Test Strips and the autodosing equipment adjusted to achieve a proper residual chlorine level. This ensures maximum biosecurity. |
