Fleas

Flea infestation is the most common external parasites condition of dogs and cats in North America. Among the 2000 described species, the cat flea Ctenocephalides felis and the dog flea Ctenocephalides canis are the predominant flea species of companion animals worldwide.

Flea-transmitted diseases are a problem not only for dogs, because both cat and dog flea can infest humans too. Flea-related dermatitis is one of the most common causes for dogs’ visits in the veterinarian practice.

Flea control with advantix® against fleas offers state-of-the-art protection due to the proven efficacy of its active ingredient Imidacloprid.
